Complete Denture
Our teeth help play a significant role in eating, facial structure and appearance. But, what would happen if you lost all your teeth? Terrifying right? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Dentures can help you. They are artificial teeth which replace the original ones and help restore your smile. Dentures are the replacements of missing teeth that can be taken out and put back into your mouth. They are supported by soft and hard tissues that surround the teeth and bone of the oral cavity. The supporting structures of dentures are designed to hold the artificial teeth in place and to resemble the natural gum line. These structures are often made out of resin or a more flexible polymer material that fits perfectly on the natural gum line.
The Role of Dentures
Dentures are custom-designed to not only improve the appearance of your smile but also provide structural support to the cheeks and lips.
Dentures can withstand heavy chewing force, allowing you to enjoy dishes that require strong chewing and maintain the same diet even after getting dentures.
Our dentures are strong, durable, and custom-fitted to give a natural-looking smile. Call us today to book an appointment for denture treatment.
How Will I Know if I Need Dentures?
If you are missing teeth and have difficulty in eating food, or are bothered about the aesthetics of the face, you need dentures! When you visit Kamal Dental Clinic, we will examine and evaluate your gum health and the underneath supporting bone structure to determine if you are eligible for complete dentures.
Once we complete the evaluation and find the right type of full dentures for your alveolar ridges (the bone structure visible in your mouth covered by gums), impressions are taken of them to make a mould or a cast. A denture is only needed if you suffer a complete loss of your teeth. It is cost-effective as compared to other teeth replacement options.
How To Take Care of Dentures?
Dentures are like your new set of teeth which need proper hygiene just like your natural teeth. You must rinse and clean your dentures after every meal to take out any food stuck on them.
Brushing them once a day helps to elongate their life and also keeps them free from any decay and germs. When not in use, always keep them dunked in water. For cleaning, do not keep them in hot water and do not use soaps to clean them as it can cause warpage and might affect the fit.
How Long Does The Denture Making Process Take?
At most times, a complete denture making takes about 3-4 weeks. In some cases, when the patient is in a hurry, the process can be expedited.
